It all started with a Serta sheep and a study of Matthew 18.  An obsession was born to start a sheep farm.  This idea began to grow and an interest in all things homesteading was born.

I did not grow up on a farm.  I have never been the outdoorsy type.  I am not the domestic goddess who bakes her own pies and cans her own jam.  But it draws me in a way nothing outside of Jesus ever has.  And I am willing to learn.

This blog is a record of my journey from my current life as a city-dwelling nurse to my dream of life on the farm.  I don’t know all the twists and turns this adventure will take but I trust that the Lord will direct my steps.

I was the lost sheep that Jesus rejoiced over.  He sought after me while I wandered far from him.  I owe my life to Him and I pray that I will honor Him with the life He has given me.
